We had Better Get on Fire or the Muslims will Get Us

We need a theology that has the hope of conquering the world with the holiness message that does not just insist on holiness being the "main thing" of our message as Taylor implied in Counterpoint. We need a message that recognizes that the comprehensive message of the Bible is the message of conquering sanctification. We need to understand that God intends for his Kingdom to conquer the world. This message is resonating with those I am preaching to. Young people need to have the hope that we are winning as a church in this life as well as the next.

The more I hear about how the Muslims are taking over the world in repopulating Europe and Asia and rapidly growing in our country, the more I realize we have to get on fire for God and abandon our fatalism. We cannot depend on our government, not even the Republicans. We need to receive the promise of Jesus down deep into our hearts that He is building His church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it and we need to have the hope that the early Methodists had. We don't necessarily need to be post-millennial to believe that God intends for his kingdom to conquer the world, but we certainly cannot afford to believe the premillennial teaching that the leaven in the loaf of the kingdom of God is sin and therefore Jesus expects sin to permeate the kingdom of God as leaven.
